2019 Theme: Dialogue, Tolerance and Peace

Radio is  recognized as a powerful communication tool and a low cost medium. Radio is specifically suited to reach remote communities and vulnerable people: the illiterate, the disabled, women, youth and the poor, while offering a platform to intervene in the public debate, irrespective of people’s educational level. Furthermore, radio has a strong and specific role in emergency communication and disaster relief.

There is also a changing face to radio services, which in the present times of media convergence, are taking up new technological forms, such as broadband, mobiles and tablets.

Radio is still the most dynamic, reactive and engaging medium there is, adapting to 21st century changes and offering new ways to interact and participate. Where social media and audience fragmentation can put us in media bubbles of like-minded people, radio is uniquely positioned to bring communities together and foster positive dialogue for change. By listening to its audiences and responding to their needs, radio provides the diversity of views and voices needed to address the challenges we all face.

రథసప్తమి రోజు పూజ ఎలా చేయాలి?

మాఘమాసంలో శుక్లపక్షంలో వచ్చే సప్తమిని రథసప్తమి అని అంటారు. ఆరోజు సూర్యోదయానికి ముందే లేచి స్నానం చేయడం వల్ల మహాఫలం లభిస్తుంది. ఆ నెల అంతా నియమం ప్రకారంగా అందరూ స్నానం చేయాలి. ఈ మాసంలో ఈ శ్లోకాన్ని చదువుతూ సంకల్పం చేయాలి. దు:ఖదారిద్ర్యనాశాయ శ్రీవిష్ణోస్తోషణాయచ ప్రత:స్నానం కరోమ్యద్య మాఘే పాపవినాశనం దు:ఖాన్ని, దారిద్యాన్ని పోగొట్టేది, విష్ణు ప్రీతికొరకు, పాపాన్ని పోగొట్టుకోవడం కోసం మాఘమాసంలో స్నానం చేస్తున్నాము. స్నానం చేసేటప్పుడు ఈ శ్లోకం చదవాలి మకరస్థే రవౌ మఘే గోవిందాచ్యుత మాధవ స్నానేన అనేన మేదేవ యథోక్త ఫలదో భవ ఓగోవింద, అచ్యుత, మాధవ, మకరరాశిలో సూర్యుడుండగా ఈ స్నానానికి తగిన ఫలం ఇప్పించు అనే ప్రార్థన ఉంటుంది. స్నానం చేసిన తర్వాత దోసిలినిండా నీళ్ళు తీసుకొని ఈ శ్లోకం చెబుతూ సూర్యుడికి ఆర్ఘ్యం ఇవ్వాలి.

సవితే ప్రసవిత్రే చ ప్రంధామ జలేమమ త్వత్తేజపా పరిభష్టం పాపంయాతు సహస్రధా ఓ సూర్యభగవాన్! నీ తేజస్సుచేత నాపాపం వేయి విధాలుగా చీలిపోవుగాక. రథసప్తమినాడు: యద్యత్ జన్మకృతం పాపం మయా సప్తమ జన్మసు తన్మేరోగం చ సోకం మాకరీ హంతు సప్తమీ ఏతజ్జన్మకృతం పాపం యచ్చ జన్మాంతరార్జితం మనోవాక్కయజం యచ్చ జ్ఞాతాజ్ఞాతంచ యత్పువ: ఇతి స్ప్తవిధం పాపం స్నానాన్మే స్ప్తసప్తికే సప్తవ్యాధి సమాయుక్తం హర మాకరి సప్తమి ఓ మకరరాశిలో ఉన్న సప్తమి! ఈ జన్మలో ఏదుజన్మలలో చేసిన పాపాన్ని పోగొట్టు రోగాన్ని శోకాని లేకుండా చేయి. తెలిసి తెలీయక చేసిన పాపాన్ని మనస్సు వాక్కు శరీరం ద్వారా చేస్తున్న పాపాలను పోగొట్టును. ఆనాడు జిల్లేడు ఆకులు, రేగు ఆకులు, పండ్లు, నెత్తిమీద పెట్తుకొని స్నానం చేయడం ఆచారం. ఆపైన సూర్యునికి ఆర్ఘ్యం (దోసిలితో నీళ్ళు వదలుట) ఇవ్వాలి. సప్త సప్తి మహాప్రీతి సప్తలోకప్రదీవన సప్తమీ సహితోదేవ, గృహాణార్ఘ్యం దివాకర ఏడులోకాలకు కాంతినిచ్చే సూర్యదేవ స్ప్తమితిథితో కూడుకున్నవాడా ఈ ఆర్ఘ్యాన్ని తీసుకో. ఆపైన సూర్యునికి ఈ శ్లోకాన్ని చెబుతూ నమస్కరించాలి. జననీ సర్వలోకానాం సప్తమీ సప్త సప్తికే సప్తవ్యాహృతికే దేవి, నమస్తే సూర్యమండల సూర్యమండలంలో ఉండే ఓ సవితృదేవత! అన్ని లోకాలకు తల్లివి నీవు. భూ: భువ: సువ: మొదలగు వ్యాహృతులతో కూడి యున్నదానవు. నీకు నమస్కారము.
