Pawan Praying For Hung Assembly In Andhra?

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan gave a call to people to seek change from the present systems as they were steeped in corruption, inefficiency, favouritism and had no potential to transform their lives for the better.

He said that no government could be formed in AP without Jana Sena and affirmed positive politics would bring the much needed change.

Rooting for Change and Independence (Azadi), Mr Kalyan said that he had no fear of failure.

“I am prepared to play a long game. Unlike Y.S. Jagan, I have no ambition of getting glued to power for centuries”, he said.

Appealing to a well attended crowd at the Konda Reddy Fort, Mr Kalyan said that people should give a chance to youngsters to bring the much needed systemic revolution to cleanse the past and pave way for the future.

He said “I have no ambitions. If you ask me to work as CM, I will do it. Or you give any other opportunity, I shall happily do it. But give a chance for new leaders.”

He said though he did not belong to Rayalaseema, he was still prepared to sacrifice because of his love for the people. “I love this place,” he said.

He said that he had no money or muscle power.  I have no TV news channels. (99 TV supports him).  No newspaper. People and Jana Sainiks are my real newspapers and channels,” he said.

He said he was committed to cleansing Tungabhadra river from pollution and had asked Rajya Sabha MP T.G. Venkatesh to help free Kurnool city from pollution. He urged the MP to work towards shifting the polluting entity from the banks of the Tungabhadra.

Krish Is The Biggest Loser of All!

NTR Mahanayakudu is turning out to be a huge embarrassment for Balakrishna and Nandamuri fans. The film failed to recover theater rentals in some centers on its day 1. Actual share on first day will be below Rs. 1 crore worldwide, according to trade sources.There wouldn’t be much monetary loss for the makers that sold the film for extravagantly high prices.

It will go down as the forgettable start to Balayya’s home production, NBK Films. Disasters are not new to Balakrishna who had a string of flops for years together in his career so far. He will move onto his next project very soon.But the biopic has done so much damage to Krish’s reputation. He also walked out of Manikarnika for the sake of directing NTR biopic.

Failure of Kathanayakudu and the fight over direction credits of Manikarnika has taken a toll on him.He was hoping that Mahanayakudu will give him some relief, but the film is already heading towards an all time disaster in Balakrishna’s career.A movie with Krish was on the bucket list for superstars like Mahesh and Charan. They may not dare to check that box in the near future.Krish will need something miraculous and super sensational to put this embarrassment behind and move ahead in his career.

Mahesh Babu Didn’t Like NTR Mahanayakudu

Mahesh Babu is one actor who tweets about all big movies, praising them, mentioning the actors’ and directors’ work. People were surprised to see his series of tweets on “NTR Kathanayakudu” when the movie had not received so overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Condolences Pour In For Kodi Ramakrishna

On Thursday, he was rushed to AIG Hospitals after he complained of breathlessness. He was undergoing treatment in ICU and was later shifted to the ventilator. Despite being under constant supervision, his health condition kept deteriorating. He passed away in the afternoon,” a source close to the family told IANS.

Ramakrishna made his directorial debut with 1982 Telugu romantic comedy “Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya” with megastar Chiranjeevi.

Following his successful debut film, he went on to work with all the leading stars of 1980s and 1990s in Telugu cinema.

Having predominantly directed films in Telugu, Ramakrishna also made films in Kannada and Tamil.

He was known for championing the use of visual effects (VFX) to enhance cinematic experience in Telugu cinema. His films like “Ammoru” and “Arundhati” were raved at for VFX work.

Some of his other popular films include “Gudachari No 1”, “Muddula Krishnaiah”, “Pelli Pandiri” and “Rikshavodu”.

“Nagaharavu” in Kannada in 2016 was the last film of the director, who was conferred the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for his contribution to Telugu cinema in 2012.

In 2016, Ramakrishna also commenced work on a biopic on Sathya Sai Baba, and it features Malayalam actor Sreejith Vijay in the titular role. The project still remains incomplete.

Ramakrishna’s death has sent shockwaves across Telugu filmdom. Several popular personalities took to Twitter to express their condolences.

Actor Mahesh Babu tweeted: “Extremely saddened by the news of director Kodi Ramakrishna garu’s demise. His contribution to Telugu cinema is unparalleled; our industry will never forget his work. My thoughts and prayers are with his closed ones. May his soul rest in peace.”

Fire At Aero India Show Parking Lot Bengaluru

Afire broke out on Saturday afternoon near the Aero India 2019 show venue in Bengaluru. The fire started at the parking lot on the other side of Yelahanka Air Force Station.

Several vehicles were gutted in the fire near gate no. 5. The fire department gave the estimated number as 80 to 100 cars.

However, Karnataka Fire Services DGP MN Reddi later said in a tweet that nearly 100 cars were burnt in the fire. He further informed that the fire was under control and no casualties were reported.

According to officials, the incident likely occurred after the dry grass caught fire due to heavy winds.
A thick blanket of smoke could be covering the parking area. In other visuals, scores of cars were seen gutted in the fire.

Kodi Ramakrishna is no more ….

Kodi Ramakrishna, who has been working on more than 120 films, has been experiencing innovative experiments in Telugu cinema. He was suffering from lung disease for some time and died shortly after being treated at AIG hospital in Gachibowli.

Recently, Kodi Ramakrishna gave me a number of interesting facts about the fact that I have done 120 movies.

In his words’ 120 films are like a dream. When it’s night, how it feels like it is a dream come true, and once again, the rule is like a student. Such a nice carrier is mine. Everything was dreaming. The reason I grew up was because of the heroes and producers who worked with me. Once again, how did you do that?

I still write my stories. There is no motivation for me. If Komma Komma is written, the stories will come from me as well as how the fire is born. I have been traveling so far that every movie is my first film.

If you feel like relaxing somewhere, then relax. Kodi Ramakrishna’s words are the guidelines for many new directors, so I believe in the fact that when Nuvvu learns to change and that’s the best thing you can do.

Rahul to spare Chandrababu Naidu in Tirupati rally?

The visit of Congress president Rahul Gandhi to Tirupati to address a mega rally on February 22 is raising a lot of curiosity in the political observers, who are wondering as to what stand he would take on the Telugu Desam Party government in Andhra Pradesh headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Needless to say, the Congress party is pinning all its hopes on Rahul’s visit, which is expected to help the party retrieve its lost ground at least to some extent by taking up the special category status demand.

The Congress party is planning to hold the public meeting at SV University’s Tarakarama Stadium from where Narendra Modi had assured the people of AP that BJP would give special status for 10 years and promised building a world class capital city.

The single slogan for the rally is ‘Pratyeka Hoda Kavali Ante Rahul Ravali’ (If you want special status Rahul should come to power).

However, if the Congress has to get any mileage out of this public meeting, Rahul Gandhi will have to equally blame Naidu for not securing special category status to AP despite sailing with the Bharatiya Janata Party for four long years.

He has to raise the issue of Naidu accepting the special financial package and later taking a U-turn to demand special category status only for political gains.

Since the special category status has now become a sentimental issue, Rahul has to play this card in order to improve the Congress party’s position in the state. But that will not happen without him attacking Naidu.

However, it is unlikely that he will make any comments on Naidu and his government in the wake of the latest bonhomie between the two leaders.

And if he doesn’t, one doubts whether Rahul will impress the people by just targeting Modi.

Farmer death: Pawan goes soft, Jagan aggressive!

The death of Pittala Kotaiah, a farmer of Kondaveedu in Guntur district in his own fields almost at the same time when Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed a public rally in the village kicked up a major political storm in Andhra Pradesh.

While the ruling TDP tried hush up the death describing it as a suicide due to personal problems of the farmer, the opposition parties naturally tried to use the incident to run down the TDP government and take political mileage out of it.

But there is a clear difference between the stand taken by two major opposition parties – Jana Sena Party headed by actor Pawan Kalyan and YSR Congress party led by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Pawan appeared to be too mild in his criticism of the government in the episode.

He gave a simple tweet saying that the government should not wash its hands of by giving some compensation to the family of the farmer but adopt more sympathetic approach.

“Farmers’ tears are not good for the country,” he said.

A team of Jana Sena leaders led by former MLA Ravela Kishore Babu which toured the village was also very soft towards the government.

It said the death of farmers appeared to be suspicious and hence, the government should order a judicial probe.It demanded that the government should provide a job to one of the sons of Kotaiah.

On the other hand, YSRC launched an aggressive attack on the Naidu government holding it responsible for Kotaiah’s death.

A fact-finding team of YSRC led by Ummareddy Venkateshwarlu said there was an undisputable evidence to say that the BC farmer was killed for refusing to allow his land to be used for creating a helipad for the landing of chief minister’s helicopter.

Ummareddy alleged that the police were trying to hush up the issue by distorting the facts to shield the main culprits.

He said Kotaiah’s land was taken over by the police for a government programme which was scheduled to be attended by Naidu.

He went on to allege that the highhandedness of police was the main reason for the suspicious death of the farmer.

“The farmer expressed his anguish to the village elders and told them that the police and TDP members were destroying his field and within one hour he died. While police maintain that he committed suicide by consuming pesticide, it cannot stand any scrutiny,” the YSRC leader said.

GST Officials Continue To Haunt Mahesh Babu

It looks like the GST woes will not leave Mahesh Babu anytime soon. A couple of months ago, the GST Commissionerate had blocked the Superstar’s bank accounts over an alleged non-payment of service tax of Rs 18.5 lakhs. In a statement, Mahesh said that the matter has been in the court and that he has always been a law-abiding citizen.

Now, Mahesh’s newly launched world-class superplex AMB Cinemas has come under the GST department’s scanner. The GST anti-profiteering wing, Ranga Reddy district, on Tuesday served a showcause notice on AMB Cinemas for violating GST norms.

In a raid conducted on the multiplex, the GST anti-evasion team found out that AMB Cinemas had not reduced the ticket prices even after the central government’s notification. Furthermore, AMB Cinemas had pocketed Rs 35 lakh in January 2019 while violating the anti-profiteering clause in the CGST Act. The multiplex authorities have been asked to cough up Rs 35 lakhs with immediate effect. The GST officials were authorised to book a case against AMB Cinemas under Section 171 of the CGST Act, 2017.

Meanwhile, the AMB Cinemas’ spokesperson maintained that they had not received any notice from GST officials. He also said that they had only obtained a court order fixing the ticket price as per new GST guidelines. The new ticket rates would be effective from February 22nd.

The GST Council had reduced the GST over ticket prices and the new rates became effective from January 1st. For tickets costing more than Rs 100, the tax has been reduced from 28% to 18%. And for the tickets which are of Rs 100 or less, the GST rate was pegged at 12% instead of 18% earlier.

Chandra Babu On Jagan-Nagarjuna Meeting

Yesterday, hero Akkineni Nagarjuna and YS Jagan’s meeting was the hot topic of discussion among the political circles. There came unconfirmed reports that Nag talked about the political equations for the Guntur MP seat with Jagan. However, the Akkineni hero clarified that the meeting with YSRCP chief was personal and has no significance.

Reacting to this TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was surprised. In a teleconference with his party leaders, Naidu said, “Heroes are meeting Jagan who is a defaulter and are surrendering themselves. What message the heroes are sending to the people of Andhra with such acts,” questioned Chandrababu. He further added that KCR is blackmailing Andhra businessmen and heroes who have their assets in Hyderabad, to support Jagan in the upcoming elections.

The AP CM directed his party leaders to take the hidden agenda of Modi, KCR and Jagan to the people and opined that if TDP is voted to power for the second time, then KCR’s ploy will not work out and so he is luring politicians and heroes. 

No Tickets For Defectors In YSRC After Feb 20?

YSR Congress party president and leader of opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is understood to have made it clear to his party leaders that he would not entertain any defectors after February 20. He virtually set February 20 as the deadline for the leaders from other parties who were willing to join the YSRC. He reportedly gave instructions that those who joined before the deadline will only get the party ticket to contest the elections. Even if some leaders want to join the party at a later stage, they would not be considered for giving the party tickets to fight the coming elections.


According to party sources, Jagan will be leaving for London on February 20 to spend some time with his daughter Varsha Reddy, who is pursuing her graduation in economics at London School of Economics. In fact, he was supposed to visit his daughter last month itself, but dropped out at the last moment as she was busy with her examinations and would not be able to spend time with her parents. Jagan will be back to Hyderabad only after five or six days and by that time, the election atmosphere would be charged up and he would have hectic schedule for electioneering. So, he wants to finish off the selection of candidates at the earliest. As such, there would be no place for defectors at the later stage. It is learnt that at least 20 leaders from ruling TDP are seriously planning to shift loyalties to Jagan’s party sooner or later. 

Allu Aravind Steps In For Akkineni Akhil?

Akkineni Akhil’s dreams of scoring the first hit of his career have come crashing down with Mr. Majnu, which also ended up as a flop. Akhil is in a spot of bother with three flops in a row at the beginning of his career. As Akhil looks for a solid break, Nagarjuna has reportedly requested ace producer Allu Aravind to plan a perfect movie with him.

Naga Chaitanya also got his first biggest hit in Allu Aravind’s banner with 100% Love. Therefore, Akhil also is banking upon sentiment and hoping that Allu Aravind could bring him luck. If the buzz is to be believed, Parasuram of Geetha Govindam is likely to direct Akhil’s next. Parasuram has been waiting for approval from star heroes from a long time, but none of them are currently interested to work with him. With most of the medium-range stars also busy with prior commitments, Parasuram has no other option but to go with Akhil for now. 

KCR cabinet not to have Harish Rao, Woman minister

  

TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao will not find a place in the Cabinet, which will be expanded at 11.30 am on Tuesday. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will also not induct a woman minister, for the second term running, according to information from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Mr Rao has finalised the names of ten ministers, four from his previous Cabinet and six new faces. The Cabinet will have former ministers Etala Rajendar, A. Indra karan Reddy, G. Jagadish Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav. The fresh faces will be Mr Ch Malla Reddy, Mr V. Prashant Reddy, Mr Koppula Eswar, Mr V. Srinivas Goud, Mr Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Mr Singireddy Niranjan Reddy.

పుల్వామా ఉగ్రదాడి సూత్రధారి హతం

పుల్వామా ఉగ్రదాడిలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించిన జైషే మహ్మద్‌ టాప్‌ కమాండర్‌ రషీద్‌ ఘాజీని భారత సైన్యం మట్టుబెట్టినట్లు సమాచారం. అతడితో పాటు మరో జైషే ఉగ్రవాదిని కమ్రాన్‌ను కూడా భారత బలగాలు హతమార్చాయి. సోమవారం నాడు తమపై అటాక్‌ చేసిన ఆ ఇద్దరితో పాటు మరొక ఉగ్రవాదిని సైన్యం కాల్చి చంపినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. తద్వారా సీఆర్‌పీఎఫ్‌ కాన్వాయ్‌పై దాడి జరిగిన ప్రదేశానికి సమీపంలోనే వీరిద్దరిని హతమార్చి దీటైన సమాధానం ఇచ్చింది.


ఫిబ్రవరి 14న జరిగిన ఉగ్రదాడికి ఇతడే వ్యూహరచన చేసినట్టు దర్యాప్తులో వెల్లడయ్యింది. ఐఈడీ బాంబుల అమరికలో నిపుణుడైన ఘాజీ, పుల్వామా ఆత్మాహుతి దాడికి పాల్పడిన అదిల్ అహ్మద్ దార్‌కు శిక్షణ ఇచ్చాడు. అఫ్ఘనిస్తాన్ యుద్ధంలోనూ పాల్గొన్న ఘాజీ, జైషే మహ్మద్ చీఫ్ మౌలానా మసూద్ అజార్‌కు అత్యంత నమ్మకస్తుడు. అతడికి కుడి భుజం లాంటి రషీద్, యుద్ధ నైపుణ్యాలు, ఐఈడీ బాంబుల తయారీలో ఉగ్రవాదులకు శిక్షణ ఇస్తుంటాడు. ఇంకా ఎన్‌కౌంటర్ కొనసాగుతోందని పోలీసులు తెలిపారు.

పుల్వామాలోని పింగ్లన్‌ ప్రాంతంలోని ఓ ఇంట్లో ఇద్దరు ఉగ్రవాదులు ఉన్నారని సమాచారం అందుకున్న భద్రతా బలగాలు వారిని పట్టుకునేందుకు ప్రయత్నించాయి. ఈ క్రమంలో అప్రమత్తమైన ఉగ్రవాదులు కాల్పులకు తెగబడ్డారు. ఈ ఘటనలో మేజర్‌ సహా ముగ్గురు భారత జవాన్లు వీరమరణం పొందారు.

వైసీపీలోకి అమలాపురం టీడీపీ ఎంపీ.. రెండ్రోజుల్లో జగన్‌తో భేటీ?

ఎన్నికల వేళ ఏపీలో అధికార పార్టీ టీడీపీకి మరో షాక్ తప్పేలా లేదు. ఇప్పటికే పలువురు ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు పార్టీని వీడి వైకాపాలో చేరుతుండటం టీడీపీలో కలవరం రేపుతోంది. ఈ కోవలోనే మరోవార్త ఆ పార్టీ శ్రేణులను ఆందోళనకు గురిచేస్తోంది. కోనసీమ ప్రధాన కేంద్రమైన తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లా అమలాపురం ఎంపీ పి.రవీంద్రబాబు(టీడీపీ) ప్రతిపక్ష పార్టీ వైకాపా వైపు చూస్తున్నట్లు ప్రచారం జోరుగా సాగుతోంది. గత కొంతకాలంగా ఆయన పార్టీ మారుతున్నట్లు వార్తలు వస్తున్నాయి. అయితే తాను పార్టీ మారడం లేదని, చంద్రబాబు నాయకత్వంపై తనకు నమ్మకం ఉందని ఇటీవలే ఆయన వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

అయితే కొద్దికాలంగా వైకాపా వర్గాలు ఆయనతో సంప్రదింపులు జరుపుతున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. పార్టీ మారే యోచన లేదని పైకి చెబుతున్నా రవీంద్రబాబు మాత్రం వైకాపాలో చేరేందుకు రంగం సిద్ధం చేసుకుంటున్నట్లు సమాచారం. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఆయన నేడో, రేపో వైకాపా అధ్యక్షుడు జగన్‌ను కలిసే అవకాశం ఉన్నట్లు చెబుతున్నారు. దీనిపై రెండ్రోజుల్లో క్లారిటీ వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉన్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

ఇప్పటికే రాజంపేట ఎమ్మెల్యే మేడా మల్లికార్జన్‌రెడ్డి, చీరాల ఎమ్మెల్యే ఆమంచి కృష్ణమోహన్, అనకాపల్లి ఎంపీ అవంతి శ్రీనివాస్ అధికార పార్టీని వీడి వైకాపాలో చేరిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఈ కోవలోనే అమలాపురం ఎంపీ కూడా ప్రతిపక్ష పార్టీలోకి జంప్ కానున్నారన్న వార్త టీడీపీలో కలకలం రేపుతోంది. ఇండియన్ రెవెన్యూ సర్వీసెస్‌కు చెందిన పందుల రవీంద్రబాబు తన ఉద్యోగానికి రాజీనామా చేసి 2014లో అమలాపురం నుంచి టీడీపీ తరపున పోటీ చేసి లోక్‌సభకు ఎన్నికయ్యారు.
